Hello Matthew,I recently created a Landing page and sales funnel for an online digital Affiliate product, and I’ve used Youtube Ads to help bring traffic to the landing page, but I didn’t get too many click-throughs to the landing page. Can your Quick win SEO be of use at all? Also, I’m looking at doing Content writing as a side gig – would quick win SEO be useful? Many thanks!

    1. Matthew Woodward

Yes find relevant keywords to generate leads and build out the content for them, sounds like you already have the skills you need if you want to pickup content writing as a side gig.

  2. Shruti Aggarwal

    Bro nice information

    1. Matthew Woodward

      No problem!

Hi,Thanks for this, looking forward to starting the work.I’ve had my blog for 7 years and it has a fair amount of traffic monthly, but the vast majority is from social and direct and I’m sure I am missing some seo basics and tips, despite having worked with people previously around it.I’d love to be getting the same amount of search engine traffic to my site as I do from Pinterest, but having tried various things over the years, I’m losing hope!

    1. Matthew Woodward

Well how much traffic you get isn’t important. What is important is how much traffic you get that converts into sales.Generally Pinterest delivers a ton of traffic, but very few sales. If you take a look at metrics like time on site, bounce rate, pages per visit and goal conversions in comparison to other traffic sources you’ll see what I mean. But if your sat on a 7 year old blog, I guarantee your sat on a goldmine of SEO opportunity.

  4. Matthew Woodward

Does Google think your a real business? Eg are you showing legally required business information/business address/phone numbers etc?

  5. Vickson Sandiconda Domue

Thanks in advance for the SEO tips you are about to give to us. I have a website with about 200 posts published but I get 50 page views on average every day. this annoys me after all the work I do. I am looking forward to getting great traffic ideas from you.

Hi. I am looking forward to watching the videos in this series. I have two websites that I feel I have worked hard on, with very little traffic.

    1. Matthew Woodward

I feel you, but keep the good & hard work up!

  8. Tee

I did the site audit on the site and I didn’t find any major issues that would cause the decline in traffic

  9. Dave Sweney

You are the expert in my eyes and in many others’ eyes when it comes to SEO, Mathew…I take care of some aspects of SEO but know that I am missing the target since I have no focused strategy nor process…There is NO doubt that I will be helped by whatever you have to offer, and I thank you in advance for your willingness to share your wisdom with the rest of us! SEO is hands down the cheapest way to build traffic, we all need to pay more attention to it (and have a plan/process)!Cheers!Dave : )

My website running well 4 years ago but suddenly it’s out of Google and low search volume from Google. There is no penalty in the Google website tool. How do I know the problem with my website?

  11. Tee

I was getting good traffic from google before the May core update came and I lost all my traffic. They are coming back a little bit but not full recovered now am looking to buy expired domains with good backlink profile to redirect to the site do you think that’s a good idea?

    1. Matthew Woodward

Not unless you’ve found and fixed the problems that led to the penalty. I would start with a complete on site audit and making sure Google knows your a real business and not an anonymous spammer.

I have been building websites since 2016 and also studying some WordPress and SEO during this time. My challenge is to make my clients understand the importance of having a strategy and producing good content with SEO in mind. Without both it is impossible to succeed on search engines it could be. I am always learning! Thank you for sharing your expertise. I Moved from Yoast to The Seo Framework and recently started to use Rank Math and I confess that I loved it, because it is more helpful friendly than others to let us also learn following the way it works

    1. Matthew Woodward

Well if your clients like sales, revenue and profit that shouldn’t be a difficult conversation :)Yeah I love RankMath as well, great plugin!

  13. Tammie B Powell

Thank you for taking the time to help us out. I also struggle with SEOs. I worked with other people trying to figure it all out, and some actually confused me even more. Looking forward to getting your information. My site is an Etsy site, does that work ok with you?

    1. Matthew Woodward

No problem Tammie. For the most part SEO just boils down to “content + links” so please bear that in mind when you hear all the SEO noise.Yes Etsy shouldnt be a problem to work with

  14. Sion

Thanks for the video, I am looking forward to the next part. I’ve wasted money on other SEO “experts”, made lots of on-page changes to hundreds of articles and yet my domain authority score is really poor (18/100). Is that something I should be concerned about, or are there other metrics that are more important? Also, how specific should I be with keywords / phrases? I’m operating in a niche area and there might be a difference between how an expert refers to things compared to someone who doesn’t know the “correct” terminology. Thanks

    1. Matthew Woodward

Google doesn’t care about Domain Authority. Just focus on having a good technical base, good content that helps people and link building from relevant sites. In terms of the keywords/phrases you choose, you should target the ones your customer base are likely to choose. So if your a service based business, probably use the terms the average consumer would use.But if you supply training to a service based business, then use the terms the experts would use!

Hello Matthew Well, I am totally new to SEO, created my blog but as you said, I am struggling to bring the traffic to my blog. I have a little knowledge as I read about SEO to increase it. My blog is good in on page optimization as per freetool I used on the internet. But, off-page optimization has proved to be a very difficult task. So, I am being patient and learning day by day and new secrets are revealing for example I found you. I will wait for your next video to hit my inbox. Cheers

  18. Sarah

Very confused about tagging my content (blogs mainly) using WordPress Do the tags need to be set up in their own right with copy, descriptions etc

    1. Matthew Woodward

I actually havent used tags for well, I can’t remember when probably 2012 somewhere around then? For the most part a solid category structure does everything you need but yes they should be setup in their own right!

  19. Suraj Pillai

Sir i didnt get the tool

    1. Matthew Woodward

Hey Suraj – You’ll get the tool with the 2nd video, don’t worry.

  21. Valerie Cocker

Hi Matthew – I really struggle with keywords. We are a greeting card company and finding long tailed keywords with any search volume is proving difficult and we can’t compete for things like ‘funny Birrthday cards’. I suspect I am missing something basic here.

    1. Matthew Woodward

Yes the process should reveal some quick wins for you, but rather than looking at things on a keyword and search volume level – start looking at them from a topic and relevance level. If a keyword only gets 20 searches a month but brings you 5 customers a month, and you have your funnel set to drive repeat custom and referrals it’s more than enough to nudge to the bottom line.

  22. Rene Torres

Hello sir, this is Rene and I want to increase traffic on my site https://familytreemakersupport.com, could you please tell me some suggestions for increasing traffic on my site. I have a blog also https://familytreemakersolution.blogspot.com. I tried a lot of strategies but expect this there is no more traffic on my site or blog. Please give me some suggestions about this.

    1. Matthew Woodward

Personally I would migrate everything away from blog spot into your main hosted site to start building out the content base before layering it up with links.

  23. wisdom info

Thank you for such great information. Really healpful

    1. Matthew Woodward

      No problem at all!

  24. David Gillies

Hi,I am retired in my 70’s but still need to make money as everything is costly and going up. I have tried products, spent money and never made a dime. I need to understand how to make a living on the internet. I really hope that you can help. I have a website for years never sold anything and I cannot find it unless I put the exact URL in the search engine. It seems that people just sell stuff and once that is done they are on to the next. I have been in sales for years but always have helped my customers after the sale. Anyways I am really hoping you have a lot that will make this internet thing work as I really do not want to go back to working 12 to 14 hour days as with covid 19 put a stop to that. Look forward hearing from you.

    1. Matthew Woodward

Well before you set off on your journey, you need to know where you want to go. If you just want to make an extra $200-$300 per month to supplement living that requires a very different direction than if you want to pull down $2000-$5000 per month.

    1. Matthew Woodward

Just follow the video series, it’s ready to rock!

  25. Matthew Woodward

Yes!However you still want to be thematically relevant. eg if they site is mostly about motor racing, and then you put someone on there about making soap – it’s not ideal. But you could publishing anything do with any form of transport/racing all the way through to car seats for babys etc

  26. Matthew Woodward

That won’t last for long 🙂 Often Google estimates signals it doesnt yet have.

  27. Claire Moffat

Hey Matthew I am Claire and I have launched kidd3r.com. A brand new swapping web site connecting families to enable them to swap pre-loved sports, hobby, musical instruments and tech kit. I would like to help families reduce the financial and environmental burden of sourcing these items for their kids, particularly now with so many families struggling. I am a newbie to all this and am hugely grateful for any help I can get. 🙂

    1. Matthew Woodward

Hey Claire – Your site sounds great. Let me know if you have any question, I would be happy to help. I wish you good luck!

  29. Gailstorm

Really? So a guest post on aSite with ovwrall Authority for an unrelated topic gains its relevance from the post/page topic and not from the site topic? If so that opens up a lot more places to get guest posts from

  30. Brian Hackett

I have a niche blog site that I’ve been trying to build over the last 9 months. The number of visitors per day is less than 10. I have tried using SEO with RankMath which has resulted in SEO scores of over 90% for each post. One of my posts ranks in Google at position 4 on page 1. All the rest can’t be found in the top 100. I’m looking forward to learning more about SEO.

    1. Matthew Woodward

Hey Brian! You’re in the right place to learn SEO! I have one tip for you: apply what you learn. This is the only way to make it work. The Quick Win SEO process is good to start with! I wish you good luck and let me know if you have any question.

  32. Matthew Woodward

Take a look at https://searchlogistics.com/seo/keywords/free-keyword-research-tools/ which will guide you through a few methods to do keyword research without spending anythingInstead of looking at individual keywords, look at topics and the keywords that make them up – especially when judging search volume because relevancy > search volume.

  33. Jeffrey Wallace

HelloJust curious how many seo programs you can operate on 1 website. Also the cost from many companies are $30 – $1500 a month. How do I know which one is better than the other?I have 1 company doing my ad words for my website and I am happy with the increase from my sales. But now I would like to increase it more.

    1. Matthew Woodward

You should only operate 1 SEO strategy, just like you should only run 1 PPC strategy. However SEO has a lot of moving parts from content creation to technical to link building. At a bare minimum it’s going to cost a good agency around $1,000/mo to deliver results, and then they have to make their profit as well so bear that in mind while shopping around!

  34. Ron Coleman

I have a question about your videos. It all sounds good, but how do you profit from it? It doesn’t appear you are trying to sell anything and I don’t see any advertising on your blog. Surely you gain somehow from this.

  35. Andreas

Hi. I have a Norwegian site about online stores and ecommerce. I’m struggling to increase traffic even if I add new content. https://ebutikker.no/

I mean keywords with considerable volume and low competition

  39. Mohammad Sheikh

Hello Matthew & Thanks for building a wonderful website where most of our SEO problem get solved, The question I have in my mind in the last few years is that where you focus most on-Page or off-page SEO & What’s the percentage of both works you prefer to get the best results? Moreover, I have another question is in off-page SEO how you feel about guest posting & niche edits, That’s two questions distract me a lot & I really loved to get this answer from you

    1. Matthew Woodward

Before anything else its absolutely critical to have built a foundation that both Google and Humans love.Usually once you have those foundations set, maintaining them is just sticking to best practices and an annual audit. Once that’s in place though you need to be producing content and building links regularly.Guest posting is ok but make sure you avoid sites with “write for us” pages and pay CLOSE attention to relevancy, you can use a service like https://linksthatrank.com/ to be sure you get quality every time. Niche edits you should avoid completely.

  47. H.R. Kemp

Hi Matthew,I’m very new at this game. As a debut self-published author, it’s been a steep learning curve. I’ve built a website and have been fiddling around trying to make it as effective as possible. I’ve attached sign up forms, now I just need to get it working for me. I know there’s more to do, and I’m grateful for anything that will help me get better at this. thanks.

    1. Matthew Woodward

I assume you have seen https://searchlogistics.com/work/ideas/how-to-self-publish-a-book/ ?Once you have built your site to promote your book, you should get out there and promote your site! I imagine you would be able to land some podcasts in your niche relatively easily for those first links and traffic.
