I really hope this will help my site which it’s been on a steady decline since the May update in terms of organic traffic. New content added, new backlinks but nothing seems to help. I did a backlink detox recently which I’m hoping will help to recover lost rankings and traffic. Looking forward to the second video.

Right now I am looking for SEO quick wins for B2B company that is working in financial business (accepting credit cards solution). Problem is, that we reside in Europe and servers are located in Atlanta. Our website is tragically slow. There is possibility for some improvements reg. speed, but not much unfortunately. I personally see also problem with not enough landing pages dedicated to strategic keywords. I am trying to push for Product landing pages (each type of Payment terminal should have dedicated landing page) as all our products are just sumarized on one page “chose terminal”. Our organic is approx 10-16% (based on country – we have web in 4 countries currently). I would be happy to have some hint about planned budget for SEO activities and if there are some really quick wins with reasonable budget, I will be happy. Currently we are activating GSC and than Yandex and Bing webmasters tools. I have Semrush account. So – here I am – waiting for the golden advice:)-dasa-

    1. Matthew Woodward

Honestly it already sounds like you know what you need to do but are being held by internal politics and red tape.Take care of site speed and then work through the quick win SEO process to see what opportunites you have. Other than that though, you already know what to do.

Hello Matthew! Great video. I have a couple of questions. I’m a homeschooling mom and struggling financially. I really want to create a website based on my passion- Natural Health, and make a passive income online with it. Since I am not able to pay for hosting, I am now starting to create a free blog on Wordpress.com (I purchased a custom domain for it).My question is, Can I follow your SEO advice on a free Wordpress.com blog and still be successful in creating some passive income? Am I wasting my time? Also, I was thinking that if I start making some income I could then transfer my free Wordpress.com blog to a hosted Wordpress.org site, since then I will be able to afford the hosting. What are your thoughts on this?I’ve heard many experts say that if you want to be successful and you want to rank on the first page of Google that you need to stay away from super competitive niches like health, that have high domain authority sites ranking on Google. Since natural health is my passion (I’ve been a natural health researcher for over a decade) that is the one thing that I want to write about, and what I want to be known for. Since this niche is so competitive and hard to rank, should I choose another niche to make passive income with, even though natural health is what I want to do?

    1. Matthew Woodward

Honestly I wouldnt waste your time on a free blog.Wait until you can set something up on a real domain with self hosted Wordpress. The most affordable option is a shared hosting provider like https://searchlogistics.com/blogging/reviews/a2-hosting/Otherwise when you transition from your free wordpress blog to a real blog – you lose all of your momentum from an SEO perspective and be starting from scratch again.

I realized that I got only one post scoring over 750 views daily, but I can’t replicate it with other posts.I tried finding why that particular post did well but nothing came out of it.

    1. Matthew Woodward

Hey Egbah – if you don’t generate traffic on the other posts, I suggest you look at: – The keywords you’re using -> Maybe they don’t match with what people are searching for on SERPs – https://searchlogistics.com/seo/keywords/research/ – Your content -> Is it good enough? – https://searchlogistics.com/seo/on-page/website-content/ – Your backlinks profile – > Do you have relevant backlinks pointing to your posts? – https://searchlogistics.com/seo/link-building/ – Your on-page SEO -> https://searchlogistics.com/seo/on-page/checklist/ And of course, I recommend you to follow the video series till the end and see if you notice any positive changes! Hope it helps.

Hey Matthew, what’s your best advice for keyword strategy in a very niche market where there is low search volume spread across a variety of market sectors. We have recently moved our blogs to a subdomain which is not ideal but not something that can be changed overnight unfortunately Thanks 🙂

    1. Matthew Woodward

Move your blogs back to a subfolder before wasting any more time, money or resources on SEO.

Hi MatthewI own six dating websites. The traffic and revenue increased by 45% since I took this advice. Truth is, I only applied the simpler actions and my search positions improved hugely. Hi, I work in the gaming sector and a lot of my keywords I want to rank for are position 40 or higher. The site does not have a lot of traffic will this tool still be able to help identify the keywords that can be improved?

    1. Matthew Woodward

Yes you might be surprised what you are ranking for accidently!

  24. Jón H B

In a ridiculous business where the competition, like selling day tours or hiring cars, would it not be near impossible to shine through in organic search results?

    1. Matthew Woodward

None of that sounds competitive to me on a localised level, you just need a solid strategy. Theres always opportunities!

  25. Ankur

Hi Mathew,Really appreciate the simplicity with which you explain the To Dos. My problem is, I have got a website which is fully loaded with great content (services & blogs) as well. Somehow, we lack good traffic from search engines. Paid ads have worked fine, but then thats about it. Would really like to know the best keyword research strategy for blogging topics.

  31. tony

Hello Matthew! I am an avid fan of your email newsletters. My problem is with a sudden website traffic drop after changing CMS from Magento to Shopify Before anything else, there are two domain versions of a website: a .com, and .com.au version. Just two months ago, we used to only have one domain, which is the .com domain, and I built this site at Magento. Then we moved the website to Shopify, so we rebuilt the website on Shopify. When we did that, what I found out with Shopify has something to do with the pricing concerns of the platform which prompted us to make a .com.au version on top of the .com initial version of the website. So, for the clients, if we are going to show them pricing in US Dollars we need to redirect them to the .com domain, if we have to show them product pricing in AU dollars, allegedly, we need to redirect them conveniently to the .com.au domain. So, what I’ve done, as their website manager, is duplicate the domain .com and .com.au. So I can have USD pricing for clients at .com and AUD pricing for the clients at .com.au.What we did was, we redirected most of the links to the .com.au domain when I re-launched the website because the .com.au domain is brand new, and we want it to get indexed. For at least 4-5 weeks, this seems to have worked for both sites as they were indexed without issues. My concern though is that the .com version, as reported by GSC, has several pages valid pages record which is more than the actual number of pages on the .com version of the website. Please see attached screenshot https://prnt.sc/uky6o3Meanwhile, the .com.au version, still being reported by GSC, only shows a few 100 pages, which is a more realistic account of the actual number of pages on the website. Please see attached screenshot https://prnt.sc/uky9gpAdditionally, we changed to redirect so that the previous URL on the Magento CMS redirected to the .com.au domain on Shopify. We changed those redirects to point to the .com domain because we wanted to get these pages to rank better since there is more traffic in the US.So we wanted to get the traffic for the rankings of these ones more compared in Australia because Australia seems to stop ranking quite well and quite quickly, so we push them back to this one so that they should start to rank. The problem now is that these pages are not ranking very well at all. They are not being indexed properly. When you check it at google search console, it says not indexed. But, if you are going to search it on the google search engine, it will appear and stated as indexed. Moreover, the keywords are previously ranking for the wrong pages. Please, I appreciate whatever input you can provide for this dilemma. Thank you so very much in advance Matthew!

    1. Matthew Woodward

Tony,Your problems are far and wide. For me to diagnose these properly would require signicant time so if you would like my professional opinion please book a consultation session via https://www.searchlogistics.com/seo/consultant/ and I’ll take a close look for you then report my findings on the call. To me though it sounds like the business is in havoc because of a limitation in shopify which has forced to you to clone sites across domains which then wreaks havoc across your entire SEO base.If you are going to run duplicate sites, they must each house entirely unique content and not just be 1:1 copues of each other. You could use canonical tags but I wouldnt take that risk and would just do it right. Thanks

I work for a client in the UK in the vape/ eliquid market. Evidently there are no paid advertising opportunities available for this industry due to prohibited products. A new site with better ui/ux has been accomplished. Along with that a lot of On Page SEO has been done to gain more traffic.Although this has worked, it is a very dominated market and a long process. What advice do you have for this type of sector?

  38. Emma

The page looks a bit light on content, I would suggest taking a look at the top 3 ranking pages for the target keyword to see if theres a gap to bridge.Other than that please follow the quick win process, specifically the Surfer bit which will help you a lot.

Hi Matthew I’ve been a photographer for about 6 years now and I’ve always struggled to get the word out there and I’ve used various sites to host my own photo’s. I’ve just published my first book, exclusive to Amazon but it’s in paperback and ebook form so now I want to get the word out about that. I just don’t want to shell out more than my small amount of profits. Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

    1. Matthew Woodward

I would suggest you build a dedicated mini site thats all about your book with the one goal of selling your book. You should be able to find some free “book templates” for Wordpress that do that.

    1. Matthew Woodward

Yes, actually one of our fastest growing clients over the Coronavirus period is in this niche in the UK. The hardest part is the link building.

Hi Matthew :)I have hit a bit of a wobble in the last few months due to Covid. I used to only offer Reputation Management, but now find myself wanting to also offer affordable Local SEO packages to clients.I would like to first get your opinion on Local SEO VS SEO? I don’t want to charge customers an arm and a leg (due to small businesses barely surviving) which is why I’m leaning more towards Local SEO.Your input would be much appreciated as I am going in circles.Thank you in advance 🙂

    1. Matthew Woodward

If you could design your perfect client, would they have a small budget or a big budget?Local SEO tends to lead to a lot of low budget clients. Obviously there are some gems, but you are setting a lower ceiling from the offset.

  49. cemsid

Please follow the process in the videos which will tell you exactly what to do next.
